on the mend

 I am finally feeling better today. The oddest thing sticking around is a sore head. Not a headache but a head that is actually sore around my temples, jaws, and forehead. It's a weird sensation like I've been in a fight. Otherwise, things are good - I'm eating and drinking again. I'm especially glad to be able to enjoy a cup of coffee and a solid lunch. Yesterday evening, MonsterMustDie picked up a light dinner at Little Tokoyo of salad, miso soup, and a handroll, which was a very satisfying. I actually saved the yet-undressed salad for lunch today -I added the ginger dressing and put a chopped fried chicken tender on top for a very filling meal. 

It's sunny now. I should probably go outside to move my body and get things flowing. 

Redeemed

MonsterMustDie did nothing last week for our anniversary or my birthday.  Today, he took me to lunch at Crafted and gave me a belated birthday tiki cup and American Gods DVD.

I've felt ill all day. It finally occurs to me that it is probably from the change in the weather and the wild ups and downs in barometric pressure.

MonsterMustDie is just now getting over his flu.

Friday, I developed a killer migrain headache that put me in bed immediately after work and disabled me completely all of Saturday. Today, the headache is gone, with just a slight touch of nausea left. Now I have a heavy ache in my chest that can only indicate building fluid and the start of an annoying cough.

Both of us are only couqhing moderately now. I am monitoring his right eye, which looked very bloodshot yesterday and had me fearing that he'd caught conjunctivitis at the Doc-in-a-Box (lots of sick children in that office). But today, the eye looks better so I guess it was unnecessary concern on my part.
