Holiday Weather

This year was the coldest overall Christmas holiday I've seen. Low temperatures and high winds made stepping outdoors for anything other than travel not an option. At least it was very dry so there was little danger of ice other than the usual preparation for cold pipes. Hoses were drained, spigots were covered, and interior cabinet doors were open to let the plumbing be heated by the ambient room temperature.

It was a pizza holiday again. We had pizza with the Karen and Bob's family in Greensboro on Christmas eve. They were lucky enough to have all of their family with the for Christmas, including two grandchildren and it was a fun and warm night. Then we had pizza dinner and Hallmark movies with Jennifer, Gaby, and Dean near Charlotte, NC on Christmas day.

New Year's eve was foggy and misty all day and night. The fog is still spectacularly dense on New Year's morning.
